Strength in the Shadows

A Gamorrean and the Pie adventure for Goat on Bothawui

System: WEG D6 Star Wars

Adventure Background

A Wookiee has a problem.

Goat has arrived on Bothawui, following whispers that a Rebel contact operates somewhere in the city. The problem is that finding the Rebellion is never easy.

Contacts are cautious.

Messages are vague.

And Imperial patrols are everywhere.

Goat has been waiting in a cargo district near the starport for two days when something happens that reminds him exactly why the Rebellion exists. A squad of stormtroopers is shaking down a warehouse owner (a Gran) suspected of supplying “unauthorized shipments.” The troopers are loading confiscated cargo crates into an Imperial transport.

One of the crates is marked with a symbol Goat recognizes: A stylized Bothan spiral used by smugglers friendly to the Rebellion.

Inside that crate is likely Rebel equipment.

Or information.

Or both.

And the Empire is about to take it.

The crate is the pie.

Adventure Hook

Goat watches from the shadows of a cargo alley as a squad of stormtroopers loads the crate into a repulsor sled.

The Warehouse worker lies bleeding nearby after resisting.

The trooper sergeant laughs.

Goat realizes something.

If the Rebels are on Bothawui, this shipment might lead him to them.

But if the Empire takes it first—

The trail goes cold.

The Wookiee flexes his claws.

He knows exactly how to solve this problem.

Location

Room 1: The Cargo Yard

A fenced loading yard between two aging warehouses.

Dimensions: roughly 20 meters by 20 meters

Stormtrooper Sergeant:

“Hold it right there!”

A beat.

“Wookiee… step away from Imperial property.”

They assume intimidation will work.

They are wrong.

Combat Focus

This encounter is meant to showcase Goat’s strengths:

Raw Strength

Brawling

Melee combat

Environmental interaction

Encourage cinematic actions like:

• Throwing crates at stormtroopers

• Tearing a loading sled loose

• Using a trooper as a shield

• Ripping the door off the cargo truck

• Throwing a trooper into another trooper

Typical Wookiee actions might include:

Strength Feats

Lift cargo crate (Easy STR roll)

Hurl crate (STR vs Dodge)

Tear apart repulsor sled (Moderate STR)

Rip weapon from stormtrooper (Brawling vs STR)

 Environmental Fun

This fight should feel brutal and cinematic.

Ideas:

Cargo crates

Contain machine parts that spill everywhere when smashed.

Repulsor sled

Can be flipped into troopers.

Floodlight tower

If destroyed, plunges yard into darkness.

Fence

Can be ripped down for dramatic entrance or exit.

The Pie (Reward)

Inside the confiscated crate Goat finds:

  • Blaster rifles destined for Rebel cells

  • Medical supplies

  • Encrypted datapad

  • A travel flyer

The flyer is about an abandoned mine at Mesa 291.

At the bottom of the message is a symbol.

A stylized Bothan spiral.

Goat finally has a lead.

Resolution

Sirens echo in the distance.

Someone has reported the fight.

Goat has seconds to decide.

He can:

• Take the crate and escape

• Grab the datapad and run

• Hide the weapons for later

• Or wait for more Imperials

Whatever he chooses—

He now has something he didn’t before.

A path.

The Rebellion may be closer than he thought.

Conclusion

Goat drags the crate into a shadowed alley.

He opens one of the supply packs and examines thevflyer again.

Mesa 291.

Midnight.

He closes the crate and slings it over his shoulder like it weighs nothing.

Stormtrooper armor lies scattered across the yard behind him.

The Empire had the pie.

Now Goat does.

And it tastes good.
