Because with a name like Drunkards & Dragons… it feels like we kind of have to.
Let’s be real—most of us have raised a glass during game night. But what if that glass wasn’t just for sipping between dice rolls… what if it was the potion?
Imagine cracking open a Strawberry ‘Rita BuzzBallz right as your character downs a healing potion. Or draining a Berry Cherry Limeade to recharge your spell slots and fire off a magic missile. That’s exactly what we’re doing—using BuzzBallz as actual, magical props in our livestreamed D&D games.
It’s part cosplay, part chaos, and all flavor.
Whether it’s healing, mana, wild effects, or confidence potions, BuzzBallz adds a hilarious and unpredictable twist to every session.
So—have you ever used alcohol as a prop in a game?

We’re just saying... it’s fun to try.
In this ruleset, BuzzBallz serve as magical potions—restorative, empowering, and maybe a little unpredictable. When consumed by players IRL, these colorful concoctions directly impact your in-game stats. Choose wisely… or recklessly.
🍓 Strawberry ‘Rita – Potion of Healing
Effect (In-Game): Restores 4d4+4 Hit Points.
Effect (IRL): Player must fully consume 1 Strawberry ‘Rita BuzzBallz before the healing takes effect.
Bonus: If consumed without grimacing, gain +1 temporary HP.
🍒 Berry Cherry Limeade – Mana Elixir
Effect (In-Game): Restores 2 expended spell slots (of 3rd level or lower) or +10 to your next spell attack/save DC.
Effect (IRL): Player must consume 1 full Berry Cherry Limeade BuzzBallz.
Side Effect: Roll a d6:
1-2. Gain wild magic surge
3-4. Nothing happens
5-6. Next spell is cast as if it were 1 level higher
🍫 Choc Tease – Elixir of Confidence
Effect (In-Game): Gain Advantage on all Charisma-based checks for 1 hour.
Effect (IRL): Must be consumed at the table while delivering a confident monologue or flirtatious line in-character.
Bonus: If the table votes the performance was exceptional, gain Inspiration.
🔮 Mystery Ball – Random Effect Potion
Let the gods (and flavors) decide.
Mechanic: Choose a random BuzzBallz without looking. The DM rolls 1d8 to determine the effect:
Turn into a sheep for 1 round
Invisibility for 1 minute
Levitate 10 feet randomly for 3 rounds
Fully heal all HP
Cast Fireball (centered on self)
Gain +5 AC for 10 minutes
Speak only in rhymes for the next hour
Swap character sheets with another player for 1 combat
⚠️ Table Rules & Limits
Two BuzzBallz per hour, unless you’re playing a Barbarian, in which case... good luck.
Drink responsibly. This is a game—not an excuse to get sloppy. Know your limits and have water at the table.
Any player who slurs, spills, or can’t roll without knocking over minis must make a Constitution saving throw (DC 15) or be removed from combat by a divine timeout.
