Paranormal Cirque II – Fredericksburg, VA (3.29.26)
A Night of Dark Spectacle… With a Few Real-World Frights
On March 29, 2026, Paranormal Cirque II rolled into Fredericksburg, Virginia, promising a mix of horror, circus artistry, and immersive entertainment. And for the most part—it delivered. From aerial feats to theatrical performances, the show created a unique atmosphere that’s definitely not your typical circus.
But like any live event, it came with its share of highs and lows.
🎪 The Show: Where It Shined
Paranormal Cirque II does a fantastic job blending gothic aesthetics with traditional circus acts. The lighting, music, and costuming create an immersive environment that pulls you in from the opening act.
Standout elements included:
Aerial performances (chains, rings, hair acrobatics) that showcased real strength and control
Choreographed dance numbers that brought energy and personality to the stage
Interactive moments with performers moving through the crowd, keeping things engaging
The show thrives on variety—there’s always something happening, and visually, it keeps your attention.
💸 The Downsides: The Real “Horror” Might Be the Cost
Let’s start with the biggest pain point—pricing.
VIP Tickets: $65 each
Soda: $5 each
Medium Popcorn: $13
Photos: $10 each
Parking: $6 (no prior notice)
While the performance itself is solid, the total cost of the experience adds up fast. By the time you factor in snacks, photos, and parking, you’re well beyond the ticket price.
And to be fair—the parking issues seemed more tied to the fairgrounds than the show itself, but traffic flow and communication could have been handled much better.

👀 Seating & Visibility Issues
One of the more frustrating aspects of the VIP experience was visibility.
Some acts actually took place behind the VIP section, making them difficult—or impossible—to see. For premium seating, that’s a tough pill to swallow. Add in people arriving late and interrupting the show, and it occasionally pulled you out of the experience.
🎭 Missed Moments & Odd Choices
A few things stood out as missed opportunities:
The Ringmaster literally stood on the chair next to me while taking photos—but didn’t offer to take one for me and MonstersNMomma
Intermission felt too long and used the center stage, slowing the momentum
Some comedy acts and jugglers performed behind us—so no video and limited engagement
And then there were the jugglers…
🤹 The Weakest Acts
Not every act landed.
Both the male and female jugglers felt out of place compared to the rest of the show. Timing was off, execution wasn’t clean—and in one case, I was actuallyhit by a dropped juggling ball.
That’s not exactly the kind of audience interaction you’re hoping for.
Rather than show you how bad it was, how about one of the better acts?
🔪 Character Details (That Fans Will Notice)
For fans of horror icons, there were a couple of immersion-breaking details:
The Michael Myers costume was noticeably off
Both Michael Myers and Ghostface were… surprisingly short
Not a dealbreaker, but definitely something longtime fans will pick up on.
⚖️ Final Verdict
Despite the issues—pricing, visibility, a few weak acts, and some logistical hiccups—Paranormal Cirque II is still a great show.
It’s creative, visually engaging, and offers something different from your typical night out. The performers clearly put in the work, and when the show is firing on all cylinders, it’s genuinely impressive.
⭐ Overall: Worth It (With Caveats)
Would I go again?
Yes.
Would I recommend it?
Also yes—just go in knowing what to expect.
Be mindful of seating
Expect premium pricing across the board
Enjoy the strong acts, and take the weaker ones in stride
At the end of the day, Paranormal Cirque II delivers a fun, unique experience—it just comes with a few real-world “horror elements” you won’t find in the program.
